Favorite Musicians: Nickel Creek, Andrew Peterson, Ryan Adams, Damien Rice (sometimes), Caedmon’s Call, Andy Davis, Randall Goodgame, Coldplay (though I’m a bit over Chris Martin and sometimes the entire band), Marc Broussard, David Gray, and too many more to list. Favorite Movies: Field of Dreams, Where the Heart Is, Almost Famous, Elizabethtown, Walk the Line (and whatever I’m forgetting or haven’t seen and haven’t fallen for yet)
Favorite Authors: Anna Quindlen, Jane Austen, Donald Miller (though we don’t always agree), most people who write psychological thrillers or legal dramas. I’ve also read a lot of Nicholas Sparks, who I refuse to count among highbrow writers because of the obvious pulling-on-the-heartstrings he employs to get a reaction from his readers (but I still cry).

Ah, another Nickel Creek fan, I thought I was the only one who appreciated their talent. And Field of Dreams is my movie, “Dad’s movie” in this house. The ending tears me up everytime.
