(OK, so that title annoys even me, but it’s the Tuesday after a long weekend. So it’s really Monday. Deal with it.)
And today, after last week’s complaining and the fact that I may have just gotten cream cheese in my hair (!), I thought I’d give you a simple little list of things that make me happy:
• that Gustav wasn’t as bad as he could have been
• that I got some good work done on the magazine yesterday at home. With coffee in the middle of the day and Elizabethtown on the TV.
• I go to Orlando on Thursday. Granted, it’s not the best timing since so much needs to get done here at work, but it’s time not in the office. And it’s Universal. And it’s paid for.
• Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova
• Mizzou-Rah! I kind of really miss Columbia right this minute. Even though I know that it wouldn’t be the same to go back because I mostly miss are the people, many of whom aren’t there right now.
• Multigrain Tostitos and homemade salsa (I’m not bragging, just stating truth: my salsa rocks my face off.)
• that we don’t “grieve like the rest, who have no hope.”
• friendships that last over years, stretch across states, and people who are always there for you, even though they’re not necessarily right next to you.
• A “happy Labor Dabor” call from my brother. And the fact that only the two of us know why we call it Labor Dabor and still think it’s funny.
• Awkward moments that make me laugh later the more I think about them.
• when Muffin is sweet to me. Which is few and far between, but precious when it actually happens.
• Andrew Peterson’s music
• coffee
• comments on my blog
• the fact that I forgot to put on a slip today and that I’m oversharing it on my blog and that this will make someone laugh somewhere.
• My dad’s “I’m so going to beat you at this game” laugh
• My mom’s smile
• Sitting on the patio just talking and not feeling rushed and that I’m wasting time
• less than a month until my birthday.
• a good attitude and an eagerness to get something actually accomplished.
• writing random weird quotes on the chalkboard in my kitchen to create conversation starters.
• coffee, again.
• blog posts from my friend Brandy that make me laugh out loud.
• comments on my blog.
Have a good day, all! (Hugs and Kisses. . . . OK, maybe not really, but you could pretend)

I love Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. Have you seen them in concert? I haven’t, but I was curious if you have.
I miss CoMO too. I wore two Mizzou shirts this weekend and got several comments from people passing by. Yay! It’s made me smile!

I wore Mizzou shirts this weekend, too! And people here FINALLY know what it is. I’ve had to explain the Big 12 so many times since I moved here!

You’re so great, Mandy! Hope you have a great week, and a wonderful time in Orlando!

The title could have been worse – it could have been “C’mon Get Happy”! Ah, the Partridge Family – my sister had such a crush on David Cassidy…

I actually thought about that. (The song title, not the your-sister-having-a-crush-on-David-Cassidy thing.)
Seriously, what was she thinking?
Oh, wait. I liked Jordan of NKOTB.

Hey, doesn’t their new album come out today??? I only know this because some college friends of mine have gone nuts over the new 90210 show – we’re thinking of watching together (separately, of course) and commenting during the show. They’re so funny! I’d forgotten how much fun we had back then.

Wow. I have no idea. And I’m scared that you know this random NKOTB info.
The new 90210. I was a big fan of the original, in the beginning. Because I was a teenage girl then! I may have to watch the new one for the heckling/mocking opportunities.
